Sanjar is a proud family man with a wife and daughter, a loyal friend, and someone our community has long known as honest, trustworthy, and heart-centered.

He has built his life around hard work and service. By trade, Sanjar works in termite damage repair and small engine repair, including weed eaters, lawn mowers, and chainsaws. He also builds decks, does drywall and painting, and provides lawn care and grounds support. Whether helping families, neighbors, or the church, he is known for showing up with steady hands, humility, and care.

At Nirvana Wakes Church, Sanjar has donated much of his time in service to others. He helps care for the grounds, supports projects that need attention, and offers his skills wherever they are needed. Those who know him describe him as dependable, generous, and always willing to help.Â

He is more than a worker or volunteer. He is a husband, a father, a provider, and an important part of the fabric of this community.Â
What Happened
On the morning of Monday, April 6, around 9:00 a.m., Sanjar left for work as usual. Not long after, his wife learned through one of his coworkers that Sanjar had called to say he had been taken into ICE custody and urgently needed a lawyer.Â

According to his family, he was first held in jail in Ocala for approximately 48 hours, then transferred to Orlando for another 48 hours, and was later moved to a detention center in North Florida, where he is currently being held.Â
​
Since then, Sanjar has remained in contact with his family by phone. His wife and daughter are now facing the emotional and financial strain of navigating this process while trying to keep their family stable.Â
